Privacy Policy

How IMGTool2PDF handles your information — no accounts, files that never leave your device, and a clear account of how Google Analytics measures site usage.

In short

  • Your files are processed in your browser on your own device. They are never uploaded to a server.
  • IMGTool2PDF does not create accounts, does not ask for your name or email, and does not collect, store or sell personal data.
  • The site's own code sets no cookies and does not use local storage. A Google Analytics tag measures general website usage (for example, which pages are visited most often), and Google's scripts set their own standard cookies for that measurement.
  • Advertising is not enabled on the site today. This policy explains what will happen before any advertising is turned on.

What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy describes how the site operator of IMGTool2PDF handles information when you use this website and its tools. It reflects how the site is actually built and shipped.

IMGTool2PDF is an independent, free website. It is advertising-free today and does not collect personal data as part of using its tools. You do not need an account, and no payment information is ever handled here.

The files you process

Every tool currently available on this site runs in your browser. When you choose a file, it is read by your browser on your own device, and the conversion, compression, resizing or PDF building happens there too. The resulting file is downloaded from your browser — the site never receives the contents of your files at any point.

This describes the site as it is built today. If a future tool ever processes files on a server, this policy will be updated before that change takes effect (see “Changes to this policy” below).

This design has two practical consequences you should be aware of:

  • We cannot see, access or retrieve your files. If you lose a file during processing, we have no copy and no way to recover it.
  • Processing happens entirely through the code of this website. Your browser, its extensions, a network operator or anything else running on your device could, in principle, observe your activity. This site makes no claim of absolute privacy beyond what is described here.
  • On a shared or public computer, files you process may remain available in the memory of your browser until the tab or window closes. Always end your browser session when you use a shared device.

Information the site does not collect

  • No account system, registration or profiles, so no name, email, username or password is ever collected.
  • No cookies, no localStorage, no sessionStorage and no other browser persistence is used by the code of this site itself.
  • No advertising, fingerprinting or other third-party scripts are loaded by the site beyond Google Analytics, which measures general website usage and never receives the contents of the files you process.
  • No forms, and no contact or comment collection of any kind.
  • All tools are free, so no billing, payment or card data is ever involved.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to measure how the site is used — for example, which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and what types of device and browser they use. This measurement helps show which tools and pages people actually use.

Google's tag loads from Google's servers and sends this aggregate usage information to Google under Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Google Analytics does not receive the contents of the files you process or any of your document or image data — files are read and converted on your own device and are never uploaded to the site or to Google. For the cookies associated with this measurement, see “Cookies and browser storage” below.

Technical information when you open a page

Like any website, when your browser requests a page, the provider that hosts and delivers this site receives standard technical information needed to serve that page over the internet — for example your IP address, the address of the page requested, the date and time, and the type of browser and device you are using. This network-level information is a normal part of how websites are delivered and is handled by the hosting provider, not by the operator. It is never combined with, or used to identify, the contents of the files you process.

Pages are served over HTTPS, so data in transit between your browser and the site is encrypted.

Cookies and browser storage

The site's own code does not set cookies and does not write to localStorage or sessionStorage. Files you process are held in the memory of your browser for as long as you keep the page open; nothing is written to persistent storage by this site.

Google Analytics sets its own standard cookies (typically _ga, _gid and _ga_<container>) to distinguish returning visitors and measure how the site is used. These cookies are placed by Google's scripts under Google's cookie policy, not by this site, and you can delete them in your browser settings or configure your browser to reject them — every tool still works without them.

Your browser or its extensions may use cookies or storage for their own purposes. Those are outside the control of this site, and their processing is covered by the policies of those providers.

The Cookie & Advertising Notice explains the browser-storage, analytics and advertising disclosures in full.

Advertising

The site does not display advertising today and no ad network is loaded. The operator may apply to serve advertising through a network such as Google AdSense in the future.

A dedicated Cookie & Advertising Notice explains the browser-storage and advertising disclosures in full, including the public ads.txt declaration and the controls available for personalised ads.

  • Before any advertising is enabled, this policy will be updated to describe it.
  • When advertising is enabled, an advertising partner (such as Google) may set or use cookies and other identifiers to show and measure ads, including personalised ads, and to report on ad performance.
  • You can control personalised ads: for Google, use Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). You can also opt out through the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info), or the EU-based opt-out and the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework where they apply to you.
  • Turning off personalised ads does not remove all advertising; you may still see non-personalised ads.
  • Advertising partners never receive the contents of the files you process — files never leave your device.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and it is offered to users in an age-appropriate way under the law of the country they access it from. Because the site collects no data, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Some parts of the site may link to third-party websites (for example, official organisations that set photo or document requirements). We do not control those sites, and their own privacy practices apply once you leave this site.

Retention and deletion

Because the operator does not store data on its own servers, there is nothing in the control of the operator to retain or delete. Files you process exist only in the memory of your browser while you use the page and are gone when you close it.

Aggregate usage information collected by Google Analytics is kept by Google under its own data-retention and privacy terms, which are set in Google Analytics and described in Google's documentation. Detail on files remains out of scope of analytics entirely: file contents never leave your device.

Your rights

Where data-protection law in your country gives you rights (for example to access, correct or delete personal data), you can exercise those rights directly: because this site holds no personal data about you, there is nothing held to correct or delete. You may stop using the site at any time and clear the data your browser holds from your device yourself.

Changes to this policy

If how the site handles information changes — for example when advertising is enabled, or if any collection of data is ever introduced — this policy will be updated before that change takes effect, and the effective date at the top of this page will change.

Email IMGTool2PDF

This is the official contact email for the project. It is not a formal support inbox, help desk, or ticketing system. Because the site collects no personal data through its tools, there are no records to access, correct, or delete. The Contact & Trust page explains how to get help with local processing issues and what to include in a bug report.
