The details

How it works and what to expect

How it works

  1. Add the product photos to thumbnail.
  2. Tick the sizes you need (or type a custom edge).
  3. Create the batch and download the files — one thumbnail per photo per size.

Sizes

Preset edges run from 96 px (tiny avatars) to 800 px (large listing thumbnails). Custom sizes between 16 and 2048 px are supported, and each thumbnail is a clean square padded onto transparency.

Privacy

Thumbnails are generated locally on this device. Your product photos are never uploaded.

Practical guidance

Using this tool well

When it is the right answer, what tends to go wrong, and what to check before you rely on the result.

Why use it

A listing usually needs the same image at three or four sizes: main view, category grid, related row. Producing them together keeps them consistent and saves reprocessing the same photo repeatedly.

Typical situations

  • You are setting up a product and need every image size the theme uses.
  • A category grid looks wrong because thumbnails were uploaded at mixed sizes.
  • You want square previews ready for listings and social cards.

Common problems

  • The smallest size lost all detail

Very small thumbnails show only the silhouette. Use the main product shape as the guide and accept that fine detail cannot survive.

  • Thumbnail aspect differs from the slot

Confirm the shape each size produces matches the slot it will occupy — a square grid and a wide banner need different crops.

  • Output format does not match the theme

PNG suits hard edges and flat colour; WebP suits photographic products where the theme supports it.

Check before you submit

  1. View each size at its real display dimensions.
  2. Confirm every size shares the same framing as the main image.
  3. Check total batch size before uploading if the platform limits it.
