The details

How it works and what to expect

How it works

  1. Add your PDF.
  2. Use the arrows under each page preview to move it left or right.
  3. Reverse flips the whole document instantly; Reset order restores the original.
  4. Click Apply new order and download the re-sequenced PDF.

Limits

  • Per-file limit of 100 MB.
  • Password-protected PDFs are not supported and will show an error.
  • Page content, images and text are kept exactly as they are — only the order changes.

Privacy

Reorder PDF runs entirely in your browser. Your file is not uploaded to any server, and the reordered document is created on this device. Nothing in this tool transfers your files over the network.

Practical guidance

Using this tool well

When it is the right answer, what tends to go wrong, and what to check before you rely on the result.

Why use it

Page order is the document's argument — exhibits out of sequence, scans uploaded backwards, chapters in the wrong order. Fixing order directly is far simpler than rebuilding the file.

Typical situations

  • A scanned document has pages in reverse order.
  • Sections need moving before a submission deadline.
  • You want to reverse a whole document in one action.

Common problems

  • The pages will not load because the PDF is locked

Reordering needs the page structure first, which an encrypted PDF will not give up. Unlock the document in your reader, then rearrange the unlocked copy.

  • I cannot see how to move a page far away

Move pages one position at a time or reverse the document first, then adjust. Small sequences of moves are usually quicker than long drags.

  • The reordered file dropped something

Page content is carried across; bookmarks and interactive features may not be. Verify anything you rely on in the output.

  • I reordered the wrong copy

The tool works on the file you loaded and saves a new one. Keep your original as the reference and check against it.

Check before you submit

  1. Scroll the entire output and compare against the sequence you intended.
  2. Confirm the page count is unchanged.
  3. Save with a name that reflects the new order.
