The natural next step
The details
How it works and what to expect
How it works
- Add your PDF.
- Tap the pages you want to keep in the preview grid — the badge shows the selection.
- Use Select all or Clear selection to adjust in bulk.
- Click Extract. The chosen pages are saved as a single new PDF.
How pages are ordered
The extracted pages appear in their original document order — page 7 always comes before page 12, no matter what order you tick them. Use the separate Reorder PDF tool if you need a different page order after extracting.
Limits
- Per-file limit of 100 MB.
- Password-protected PDFs are not supported and will show an error.
- At least one page must be selected.
Privacy
Extract pages runs entirely in your browser. Your file is not uploaded to any server, and the new PDF is created on this device. Nothing in this tool transfers your files over the network.
Practical guidance
Using this tool well
When it is the right answer, what tends to go wrong, and what to check before you rely on the result.
Why use it
Sometimes you need a handful of pages, not a reorganisation of the whole file. Extraction creates a new document from exactly those pages and leaves the original untouched.
Typical situations
- A 40-page contract needs only the signature pages.
- Evidence for a form is scattered across a long PDF.
- You want one clause and its schedule as a standalone file.
Common problems
Extraction stops on a password-protected PDF
Pages cannot be copied out of an encrypted document — it is rejected when added, before any page is selected. Unlock it in your reader, then extract from the unlocked copy.
Pages came out in source order rather than the order I typed
Extraction keeps the original document order. If you need a different sequence, reorder the extracted result.
Extracted pages lost quality
Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so text and vectors stay intact. If it looks worse, the source page was already like that.
Annotations or links were lost
Page content is preserved; interactive features may not survive every operation. Check anything critical on the output.
Check before you submit
- Confirm the count of pages in the new file matches your selection.
- Check the content on each page rather than trusting the count.
- Keep the original as the master copy.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
How do I keep only certain pages?
Type the pages you want (for example '1-5, 9') and the tool creates a new PDF with just those pages.
Do extracted pages keep their quality?
Yes — the pages are copied directly from the source PDF without rasterisation.
